In the 1960s the chorus of the Liceu Grand Theatre was consolidated under the leadership of Riccardo Bottino. The chorus has performed not only in operatic works but also in symphonic compositions and has performed in addition to the Liceu at the Teatro Real in Madrid, Les Arènes de Nîmes, in Paris and at La Fenice in Venice.
